At home your dog rests a great part of the day and if your gone to work he sleeps till you come home.

At TDh however the day starts with a long garden session, greetings and play followed by a long walk. The rest of the day consist of playtime inside and outside there time for rest but resting at TDH is not the same as at home. There is always something going on noises, doorbells, and other dogs playing  that interferes with a good rest just like at home. Furthermore settling in a new environment is an exiting and challenging experience and not unlike chilodren going to camp the adrenaline level of our guests is higher than than than at home,  they are a little more " exited" than usual.

So when they come in their familiar and quiet environment they sleep and rest untill they adjust. This can take upto 3 or 4 days.So do not worry, it is just part of their physical and mental ajustment to new situations.
